Overview
Swingg ("we", "us") is a social golf app for tracking rounds, sharing posts, messaging other golfers, and booking and scoring simulator games. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account details: your name, username, email address, date of birth, and gender.
- Phone number: only if you choose to provide one when booking a simulator slot, so the venue can contact you about the booking. We do not verify phone numbers.
- Content you create: posts, photos, comments, reactions, messages, headlines, profile and cover photos.
- Golf activity: rounds, scores, shot data, ELO/handicap stats, and simulator games and bookings.
- Location: your approximate location while a round is active, used for course and green distances and to find nearby simulators. You can disable this in your device settings.
- Device data: a push-notification token and basic technical information needed to deliver notifications and keep the app working.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the app: to run your profile and feed, deliver messages and notifications, calculate scores and rankings, match players in simulator rooms, surface nearby simulators, and keep the service safe (including handling reports of abuse).
How Your Information Is Shared
- With other users: your profile, posts, and public activity are visible to people you interact with, consistent with your in-app choices.
- With service providers that operate the app on our behalf: Cloudinary (image hosting), our authentication provider (account/login), Expo (push notifications), and our cloud host. Scorecard scans you submit are processed by an AI provider to read the scores.
We do not sell your personal information.
Payments
Swingg PRO membership is purchased through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. Payment is collected by the store — we never see or store your card details. To unlock membership features we receive only your subscription status (the plan you bought and when it expires) from the store via RevenueCat, our subscription management provider.
Data Retention
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your login and personal details as described in "Your Rights and Choices". Some content that is part of shared activity (for example a game other players took part in) may remain in anonymized form.
Your Rights and Choices
You can edit your profile, control location access from your device settings, mute conversations, block and report users, and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your login and strips your personal data; this cannot be undone.
Children's Privacy
Swingg is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from them.
